JKPaySys Login: JK PaySys (PayManager) Guide
JKPaySys, also called PaySys, JK PaySys or PayManager, is the Jammu and Kashmir Government Payment System at jkpaysys.gov.in. According to the official site, it is the common platform DDOs use to prepare all types of bills, including pay bills, DA arrears, bonus, arrears and leave encashment. Employees use the Mera Vetan app to see their monthly salary details.
This website is an independent guide. It is not the official portal and is not linked to the Government of Jammu and Kashmir or NIC. We never ask for your username, password or OTP.
What is JKPaySys?
JKPaySys is where salaries for Government of Jammu and Kashmir employees are billed. Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) prepare the bills in it and send them to the treasury. Besides pay bills, the software handles DA arrears, bonus, arrears and leave encashment bills.
Who uses JKPaySys?
- DDOs, who prepare and approve bills. Each DDO has two roles: Maker, who prepares the bill, and Checker, who approves it. Both use the same username with different passwords.
- PAOs, who can request their own PaySys login with the form on the official site.
- The treasury, which receives approved bills electronically.
- Employees, who see monthly salary details in the Mera Vetan app.
How to log in to JKPaySys
- Open jkpaysys.gov.in in the latest Google Chrome or Internet Explorer.
- Enter your username. According to the official guide, the username is your Accountant General code (AG code), such as AAAAAA1234.
- Enter your password. Maker and Checker have different passwords.
- Type the captcha and click Login.
You get a maximum of 4 login attempts. Allow pop-ups for the site in your browser settings, as the guide asks.
Before and after the first login
- The DDO must fill and verify CPIS forms 1 to 7 for all employees on jkcpis.nic.in, including Form 1, 2-A and 2-B.
- DDO codes on CPIS and JKPaySys must be the same.
- Maker and Checker reset their passwords using the default password sent to them by email.
- The guide advises changing the Maker and Checker passwords at least once a month.
- For OTP, Maker and Checker should install the Sandes app on the same mobile number updated in JKPaySys.
How a bill moves in JKPaySys
A bill prepared by the Maker and sent to the Checker is a draft bill. When the Checker verifies it and sends it to the treasury, the bill gets a 25-digit Final Bill Number, which is the treasury's reference. The DDO should note this number. If the Checker rejects a bill, the Maker can see it under Rejected Bills with the reason. More detail is in our bill types guide.
Forgot your JKPaySys password?
Click Forget Password on the login page and enter your username and the email registered with your PaySys account. You will get an OTP on that email to reset the password. The official site also has an Unlock User (Checker) link. It opens a Login Reset page that asks for your user ID, mobile number, TAN number or the last 4 digits of the bank account, and your treasury. See our forgot password and login reset guide.

Know your CPIS ID
The official Know Your CPIS ID page asks for your date of birth, PAN number, GPF or NPS number and a verification code. Steps are in our Know Your CPIS ID guide.
New DDO login
A DDO applies for a JKPaySys login with the request form on the official site. It asks for department, designation, office, treasury, AG code, bank branch and account number, TAN, mobile number, official jk.gov.in email, GST number and NSDL number. A user is created only if the DDO exists in BEAMS, and the form is accepted only if it is signed by the Treasury Officer or sent to the helpdesk from the treasury's official email.
